About Stella Australia

Stella Centre has treated hundreds of Australians  via this innovative Dual Sympathetic Reset (DSR) protocol pioneered and studied extensively in the USA - it is an advanced form of the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) procedure focused on emotional trauma, anxiety and other autonomic dysfunction such as long-covid. Watch here this TED-X by Dr Eugene Lipov who is the key figure helping Australia become established.

Who have we helped?
We have helped Veterans, first responders and Domestic and Victims of Crime. Almost 50% of our clients have encountered childhood trauma and some have been diagnosed with Complex PTSD (C-PTSD).

Is it safe? Access this detailed article that covers procedure safety profile and its rationale. Most scientific data a on the procedure and news are USA based. More information is presented on the About and FAQ pages.

What we treat

At Stella, our doctors specialise in an advanced version the Stellate Ganglion Block procedure. The goal is to treat the biological effects of trauma-related conditions by targeting the overactive sympathetic nervous system - the part of the body responsible for the persistent “fight or flight” response. Many of clients arrive at Stella after years of trying traditional therapy or medication, still struggling with unresolved symptoms that affect their daily lives.

This elective procedure (learn more here) is administered under image guidance and is specifically  designed to help reset an overactive fight-or-flight response, which research now shows is a key driver behind persistent PTSD symptoms and nervous system dysregulation. This can help the body achieve a sense of calm, stability and general well-being. The procedure's rationale and safety profile is discussed in this article.

Stella’s approach offers a medical pathway designed for those who haven’t found relief through conventional care.

These are some of the common symptoms of an overactive nervouse system we maybe able to treat:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS)
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep Issues
  • Flashbacks
  • Hypervigilance
  • Autonomic dysfunction / Long COVID  read more here

Treatment locations across Australia

Stella's providers are small network of carefully selected medical practioners due to their expertise and commitment to innovative mental health care.

Each doctor operates within an accredited Private hospital/facility - it is not a stella centre controlled unit. It is intentional that they are not advertised here. It reduces confusion because they operate within their own private practice and the facilities are not branded/owned by Stella.

We currently offer treatment in Melbourne, Sydney and very limited capacity on the Gold Coast . Melbourne is our HQ and offers Stella lists on a regular schedule to help with insterstate bookings.

Before obtaining a referral, it's imperative you get in touch or call 03 9021 6262 to find out the most suitable Stella provider or read our FAQ to learn more.
